At Irix, we follow the principle that a lens is not only a tool for photography – it’s also about the entire process of creating a photo, which is greatly influenced by the joy of using lenses. That’s why we pay attention to the design and ergonomics for Irix products.

Dragonfly is a combination of metal elements combined with composite components, making the entire construction not only strong but also lightweight. In addition to its reinforced construction, the lens is also weather-sealed in crucial points, which in conjunction with its internal focusing mechanism, means that you can use it without any difficulty in all environments and weather conditions.

Focus Ring

We know how much you like the focus ring we designed for the Irix 150mm f/2.8 1:1 Macro lens, so we decided to use a similar one in our Irix 45mm f/1.4 lens. After extensive testing, we have developed a material that provides excellent durability and resistance to weather conditions, which, combined with special embossing, directly affects its comfort of use. After some time, the user can feel the position on the ring, thanks to which focusing becomes even easier.

Focus Lock

The Focus Lock feature allows you to lock the focus ring in a specific position. This is especially important when taking landscape photos, and also when you want to keep a specific distance from the subject (ie. In-studio or on the street).

Ready to shoot in any weather

The hi-class lenses must provide high comfort of use in all lighting and atmospheric conditions. This is the Irix 45mm f/1.4, which focus and aperture markings are laser engraved and filled with UV-reactive paint. This process makes them readable even in low-light environment. The comfort of work with Irix lenses is also guaranteed by the system of rubber seals and other solutions that, regardless of the environment and weather, protect its interior and the camera sensor from dust and splashes.

Available mounts

The Irix 45mm f/1.4 lens is available in Canon EF, Nikon F and Pentax K mounts.
