It’s only a matter of time before Nikon spills the beans about the highly anticipated Nikkor Z 85mm f/1.2, as they have already shuffled the warranty cards!

Recent reports from Nikon Rumors have revealed that an unsuspecting customer has made an intriguing discovery – when buying a Nikkor Z 35mm f/1.8 S lens, they received a warranty card for the yet to be released Nikkor 85mm f/1.2 S lens! Is this a happy coincidence or a subtle hint from Nikon? Either way, it looks like we can expect an official announcement very soon!

It’s not the first time Nikon has dropped a hint about the Nikon Z 85mm f/1.2 lens, and the latest Nikon Z lens roadmap even shows an S-line 85mm lens – though the aperture is still a mystery. The Nikon Z series now boasts a total of 25 lenses, with 11 zooms, 3 wide-angles, 6 standard prime lenses and 5 telephoto prime lenses (soon to be 6). Unfortunately, there’s still no information available about the 85mm lens, so we can’t be sure how much it’ll weigh or how much it’ll cost – but being in the pro line, it’s certainly not going to be a bargain!

I’m excited to find out if the NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.2 S will make its grand debut in early 2023! Plus, CP+2023 is slated to be held from February 23rd to 26th, so I’m hoping to hear some juicy product announcement rumors at the end of the year.
