Nikon Z6 III Leaked Image

Nikon Rumors recently shared a product image that possibly reveals the Nikon Z6 III, although its authenticity remains uncertain. This speculation arises from the appearance of what seems to be the “Z6 III” logo obscured by tape on a developmental test unit. However, without confirmation, we must await further details or rumors to shed light on this.

Given that the article was published on March 31st, it seems unlikely that it’s an April Fool’s Day prank. In examining the leaked image, I compared the right shoulder components of the “Z6 II,” “Z9,” and “Z8” models side by side. Notably, the current “Z6 II” lacks a logo on the right shoulder, whereas the “Z9” and “Z8” models feature one. The leaked image suggests similarities to the “Z6 II” in the shape of the right shoulder part, yet it also indicates the presence of a logo and a shifted sensor position mark.

While the body design and control layout of the Z6 III appear akin to those of the Z8 and Z9, there are distinctions, particularly in the rear logo’s shape. Though definitive conclusions are challenging to draw from this limited information, if the image proves genuine, it suggests a new model with a distinct design compared to existing Z series cameras. Consequently, anticipation mounts for a completely fresh body design distinct from the predecessors, Z6 and Z6 II.

Anticipated for an official announcement in April or May 2024, the Nikon Z6 III holds promise as a potential evolution in the Z series lineup.
