New Firmware Updates for Nikon COOLPIX P1000, 180-400mm, WT-7, SB-5000 and more
Nikon released the new firmware updates for Nikon COOLPIX P1000, AF-S NIKKOR 180-400mm f/4E TC1.4 FL ED VR lens, Nikon WT-7, SB-5000 AF Speedlight, Wireless Transmitter Utility and software update for Camera Control Pro 2. Most of these updates are aimed to add the support for Nikon Z7 mirrorless camera, which will be released tomorrow in the US.
Nikon COOLPIX P1000 Firmware Version 1.1
- Adjusted some compensation values for NRW (RAW) data.
Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 180-400mm f/4E TC1.4 FL ED VR firmware version 1.01
- Fixed an issue that resulted in uneven peripheral illumination in wide-angle shots taken with VR enabled.
Nikon SB-5000 Firmware Version 14.003
- Added support for the Z 7, Z 6, and D3500.
Nikon WT-7 Firmware Version 1.3
- Added support for the Z 7 and Z 6.
Nikon Wireless Transmitter Utility Version 1.8.0
- Added support for the Z 7.
- The Z 7 can now be paired with computers and upload pictures via built-in Wi-Fi.
- Added support for macOS Sierra version 10.12 and macOS High Sierra version 10.13.
- Ended support for OS X 10.10.
- Fixed the following issue:
- Protected pictures downloaded in “PC mode” would be marked as unprotected on the computer.
Nikon Camera Control Pro 2 Version 2.27.0
- Added support for the Z 7.
- The principal features added with support for the Z 7 are as follows:
- Target-tracking AF
- AE lock only, Vibration reduction, and Diffraction compensation
- Support for Vignette control, Auto distortion control, and AF-area mode and Focus mode selection during movie recording
- A Record timecodes option
- Support for Output data depth and N-Log setting options when the camera is connected to external video recorders
- Added support for the macOS High Sierra version 10.13.
- Ended support for OS X 10.10.
- The Wireless Transmitter Utility now supports LAN connections under macOS 10.12 and later.
